View answerThe decision of Supreme Court Justice O'Donnell was delivered on 18 October 2017 in relation to this case. Both parties had sought to appeal various aspects of the decision of the High Court. The Supreme Court struck out both appeals and varied the High Court Order reducing the general damages awarded to Mr. Hanrahan while increasing the valuation of his cattle. The issue of costs in this case remains outstanding and as such it would not be appropriate for me to make any comment in relation to costs at this time.
