I propose to take Questions Nos. 266 and 267 together.

I wish to inform the Deputy that the average annual cost of an available staffed prison space for 2016, the latest year for which a figure is available, was €69,421. This equates to an average weekly cost of €1,335.02 per available staffed prison space.
