View answerThe conservation and presentation of National Monuments in the care of the State is managed by the Office of Public Works. However, decisions as to which sites are either acquired fully or brought into Guardianship as National Monuments are a matter for the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. The OPW is happy to facilitate and attend a meeting between the owner of the site in question and the Department.
