532. Deputy Eugene Murphy asked the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht her plans to ensure that the structure that remains in the River Shannon in Tarmonbarry, County Roscommon, which inhibits the flow of water, is removed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [51453/17]

I am informed by Waterways Ireland that it will progress works to assess options for reinstatement and repair requirements to Tarmonbarry weir, including the removal of the temporary structure to which the Deputy refers.
