Grant funding for equipment for Civil Defence is issued to the Local Authorities on application, from time to time. The funding allocated by my Department in the past five years for purchasing equipment is outlined in the following table. Each local authority is also issued with an annual operational grant and this funding may be used at local level for the purchase of equipment.
