Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he has received correspondence sent to him by the chairperson of a group (details supplied); if the correspondence has been replied to; his plans to meet with the group with a view to discussing the matters outlined therein; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Divisions in my Department are currently working on a full response to the issues raised in the letter and a reply will issue shortly.
I met with members of the West Ulster Rail Initiative Group on February 20th 2017. A further meeting request will be considered in due course, as is normal procedure for all such requests.
