1729. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the name and number of organisations here that are in receipt of funding from his Department that have expended resources seeking the repeal of the eighth amendment; the amount of funding these organisations have received from the State in the past five years; the amount of money they have spent on this particular campaign during that time; the number of organisations here that are in receipt of funding from his Department that have expended resources seeking the retention of the eighth amendment; the amount of funding these organisations have received from the State in the past five years; and the amount of money they have spent on this particular campaign during that time. My Department has a wide and diverse business agenda. Each year, in order to support delivery on this agenda, my Department allocates significant resources to a broad range of organisations, including local authorities, dedicated agencies and non-statutory bodies, as well as to individuals. The views of any organisation on the constitutional provisions referred to in the Question do not arise for consideration in the context of the business of my Department and such information is not held in my Department.
