304. Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for Education and Skills if a school (details supplied) in County Louth will be assisted in sourcing funding to replace tarmacadam in the schoolyard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [54306/17]
View answerThe school to which the Deputy refers may apply for the works in question under any future Summer Works Scheme. In the meantime, the school authority can use its Minor Works Grant to address ongoing repairs and maintenance. If health and safety works are identified that require immediate attention, an Emergency Works Application for these works only can be submitted to my Department. Application forms are available on my Department’s website.
