Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the maximum payment that can be granted to one person for the greening payment under pillar 1; the greening payment values in 2017 by amounts (details supplied); and the number of persons paid, in tabular form. The maximum payment that may be granted to any one farmer under the Basic Payment Scheme (excluding the Greening Payment) in any one scheme year is capped at €150,000. This cap on payment relates only to the payment received under the Basic Payment Scheme, and a farmer’s total payment could be over €150,000 when Greening is added on. There is no maximum Greening Payment.
