View answerIn order to ensure that the Language Assistants Scheme is operating in the best possible way to support both the language planning process and the Gaeltacht Education Policy, my Department will be seeking tenders to carry out a review of this scheme in the coming weeks.
It is hoped that, following this review, my Department will be in a better position serve the demand from Gaeltacht-based schools for language assistants under the scheme for the 2018/19 school year.
