Deputy John Brassil asked the Minister for Finance the status of an application for the transfer of residence relief for vehicle registration tax by a person (details supplied); if he will request the Revenue Commissioners to examine the evidence provided to sanction the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Revenue that exemption from Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT) has been granted to the person in question.

The exemption was granted on foot of further supporting documentation, which was provided to Revenue on 22 February 2018.
