495. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of passengers travelling on the Galway to Limerick railway service annually based on the annual National Transport Authority annual survey or an Iarnród Éireann surveys; the way in which this compares with the original projections for the service when it re-opened; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) in conjunction with Iarnród Éireann and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
