Deputy Seán Haughey asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if the Office of Public Works plans to upgrade the monument building and surrounding grounds at the Casino in Marino, Dublin 9; if Dublin City Council owns the green space immediately opposite Casino Park in view of the fact that this area is not part of the fenced off demesne; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Casino Marino is closed for an extensive programme of safety upgrade works which is underway at present.

There is an area of land to the North West of the Casino Park which is in the ownership of Dublin City Council. I presume that this is the area referred to by the Deputy.
