View answerMy Department has no role or function in relation to business insurance namely, employer or public liability insurance. Apart from motor insurance which is the policy responsibility for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, policy responsibility for insurance is a matter for the Minister for Finance and is regulated by the Central Bank.
My Department does not have any data on the number of businesses choosing not to take out employer or public liability insurance.
