Deputy Declan Breathnach asked the Minister for Health if arrangements will be made to reopen the Civil Registration Office in Dundalk, County Louth; his views on whether it is unacceptable for persons in the north of the county to have to travel over 60 km to access this service now located in Drogheda; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Civil Registration Service is operated by the Health Service Executive on behalf of the General Register Office under the aegis of the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection.  I have referred your question to the Health Service Executive for direct reply to you.
