538. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if assistance by way of an exceptional needs payment can be facilitated in the case of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20926/18]
View answerThe person concerned contacted the community welfare officer on 12/3/18 seeking assistance with utility bills. A SWA1 form was sent by post to the person concerned on the same day. This form together with supporting documentation has not been returned to date. The application will be considered when the necessary documentation is received.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the deputy.
