155. Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the estimated average payment for eligible farmers in both GLAS and GLAS+; the number of farmers that are active in the GLAS and GLAS+ scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25917/18]
View answerThe estimated average payment for eligible farmers in the GLAS Scheme is €4,155 which, as provided for under EU Regulation, is paid in two parts. The estimated average payment for eligible farmers in the GLAS + scheme is an additional €1,450. There are currently 49,295 participants live in the GLAS scheme, including 3,329 GLAS + participants.
