Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of students from Kuwait studying here; if his Department in conjunction with the Department of Education and Skills is working to attract more students from Kuwait here; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerPresently, there are approximately 700 students from Kuwait studying in Irish Higher Education Institutions. The majority of these students are studying in the medical fields.
Enterprise Ireland, who are responsible for promoting the Irish education system internationally, through the Education in Ireland brand, are working closely with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Higher Education, to enhance the collaborations between Higher Education Institutions in Ireland and Kuwait in a wide range of other disciplines that will be of mutual benefit to both Countries.
