Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if all the land owners and property owners affected by a development (details supplied) have been contacted; the number of individual CPOs required to complete the development; the number of CPOs completed; the number of CPOs in the negotiation stage; the number of CPOs not yet commenced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The improvement and maintenance of regional and local roads is the statutory responsibility of the relevant local authority in accordance with the provisions of Section 13 of the Roads Act 1993. Works on those roads are funded from the Council's own resources supplemented by State road grants.

Clare County Council is responsible for implementation of the Shannon Bridge Crossing project, including management of the land acquisition process. The details sought by the Deputy are, therefore, matters for the Council.
