Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the person or body monitoring assessment and therapy services for children, young persons and their families in circumstances in which sexual abuse is a concern; the measures being taken to ensure best international standards of practice are being followed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In regard to this issue this is a matter for the Minister of Health and the related services provided in this area through HSE service provision. My officials are working with the Department of Health to ensure that such responses are informed by best international practice standards in this area.
