Question:

307. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 106 of 28 June 2018, the annual cost of applying a flat rate on dividend income for both entrepreneurs and external investors of 10%, 20% and 30% on unquoted Irish resident companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Revenue that, as tax returns do not differentiate between different investors nor between the various dividend income types, it is not possible to provide the Exchequer costs and yields for the proposals outlined in the question.
