Durkan asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the progress to date in the determination of an application for the carer's support grant in the case of a person (details supplied); when the application is likely to conclude; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThis application is currently being processed by my Department. In this regard, the Deciding Officer dealing with the claim recently wrote to the person concerned seeking further details of her employment and of the level of care she provides.
Once this information is received, the Deciding Officer will notify the customer of the outcome.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
