185. Deputy Jan O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if the National Transport Authority plans to commission a feasibility study for a train station for the northside of Drogheda; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39194/18]
View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA), working with other relevant State bodies, is responsible for ensuring the planning, development and delivery of the public transport infrastructure priorities, including train station developments, in the Greater Dublin Area including Drogheda.
In light of the NTA’s role, I have forwarded the Deputy’s question to the NTA for their response regarding this matter.
