Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Health when the regulations referred to in section 12(1) of the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill 2015 which is now passed into law will be published and come into force in view of the urgency of this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Draft regulations under Section 12(1) of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 must be submitted to the European Commission for assessment under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers before they can be finalised and published.
