View answerVehicles such as electric scooters fall within the legal definition of a mechanically propelled vehicle. As such, they are required to comply with road traffic law and with the rules of the road.
However, I have asked my officials to engage with the various key stakeholders in order to examine whether the current legislation, which dates back to 1961, is still relevant today.
