Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the annual amount of funding provided to each local authority to carry out responsibilities as data controllers for community closed-circuit television, CCTV, schemes; the expected amount of funding that will be provided to local authorities to carry out this work in 2019; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has no policy responsibility in relation to community CCTV matters and, accordingly, does not provide specific funding to local authorities in respect of their responsibilities as data controllers for community CCTV schemes.
