Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Health when legislation will be introduced to guarantee persons with disabilities the right to a personal assistant service as per Article 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which Ireland ratified in March 2018.
