View answerThe Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Bill 2018, which was enacted on 26th of December 2018 increases the compulsory retirement age for civil servants, recruited prior to 1st April 2004, from age 65 to age 70.
Technical Agricultural Officers employed by my Department, who meet the above criteria, are included in this cohort of staff and now have the opportunity to remain in employment until age 70.
