567. Deputy Catherine Martin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the changes to Luas fares in each of the years since 2012, in tabular form; the reason for increases in the fares; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8194/19]
View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has the statutory responsibility for the regulation of fares in relation to public passenger transport services. I have, therefore, referred the Deputy’s question to the NTA for reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
