Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of applications made to the State Examination Commission for reasonable accommodations; the number of applications that have been refused; the nature of the accommodations granted for both junior cycle and leaving certificate examinations in each of the past four years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations. The Commission in this regard operates a scheme of Reasonable Accommodations in the Certificate Examinations.
