568. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the number of requests received from the Residential Tenancies Board for permission to recruit additional staff in 2018 and to date in 2019; the number of those requests that have been approved, are pending or refused, respectively; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Since 1 January 2018, my Department has received 28 staffing sanction requests from the Residential Tenancies Board for permission to recruit additional staff, all of which have been approved.
