242. Deputy Pat Buckley asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the rationale for limiting of child fares on bus and rail services to under 16s (details supplied); and his plans to develop greater access to free and lower fare public transport services. [27092/19]
View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have overall responsibility for policy and funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has responsibility for public transport fares and I have therefore forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply.
