Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if members of a group (details supplied) will be invited to discussions on the €100 million Brexit beef aid fund; when stakeholder meetings will take place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I will be consulting with stakeholders later this week in relation to the measures proposed by my Department to provide temporary exceptional aid to Irish beef farmers. These measures must be submitted to the European Commission before the end of this month, and are also the subject of consultation with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.

I am satisfied that the stakeholder groups involved are broadly representative of the interests of Irish beef farmers.
