The OPW is currently preparing a plan for regular coastal monitoring surveys to be undertaken at a number of coastal sites that are considered to be at risk of coastal flooding and/or coastal erosion. These surveys will provide important and detailed information to assist with the ongoing monitoring of local rates of coastal erosion and to inform associated risk assessments. One such site includes the coastline from Portrane to Rush, County Fingal.

The OPW expects to be in contact with Fingal County Council in the coming weeks in relation to the planned coastal monitoring surveys at Portrane and Rush.
