Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Education and Skills the stage the Limerick Institute of Technology project is at; when the project will go out for tender; when construction will commence; when the project will be completed; the estimated cost of the project; the amount spent to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can advise that the enabling works element of phase 1 of the Coonagh Campus upgrade has been completed.   The fit out element of phase 1 is due to go to tender in Q4 2019.  The total project cost is estimated in the region of €11.6m with €4.75m of Exchequer funding drawn down to date.
