158. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Education and Skills the expenses incurred by his Department to date in 2019 for the implementation of ongoing communications strategy initiatives that highlight schemes and programmes operated under the auspices of his Department including advertising and promotion on television, radio, newspapers and online in tabular form; and the level of expenditure for each such initiative. Teaching Transforms advertising campaign which aims to help address the shortage of teachers in specific subjects and the increasing need for more qualified graduates.

STEM Awareness Campaign in conjunction with Science Foundation Ireland to raise awareness of STEM.  In this regard “This is STEM” a video based campaign featuring eight role models from industry and academia, capturing how a STEM career is not a typical day job has been developed by SFI.
