Deputy Jim O'Callaghan asked the Minister for Justice the waiting times for hearings of family law issues (details supplied) in each of the District Courts, in tabular form; the District Courts not taking new applications for hearings of family law issues; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Under the provisions of the Courts Service Act 1998, management of the courts is the responsibility of the Courts Service which is independent in exercising its functions.

However, in order to be of assistance to the Deputy, I have had enquiries made and the Courts Service has informed me that all District Court venues are taking new applications from litigants and their legal representatives.

The number of days until the next available hearing date, as at 12th October 2020, are as follows:
