Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education when a letter promised twice by the Department to a person (details supplied) will be forwarded; the reason for the delay in issuing this letter given the matter has been ongoing for some considerable time; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am glad to inform the Deputy that the requested letter has been issued by the Payroll Division of my Department. The case was particularly complex, involved checking of records in detail and accordingly took some time to resolve.
