Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media if, in view of the importance of the car rental industry to the tourism sector, she will meet with representatives of the industry to hear and find solutions for Covid-19-related issues regarding the sector; and if she will make a statement on the matter. While I do not have primary responsibility for the car rental sector, subject to diary commitments I am always willing to meet stakeholders involved in tourism to discuss matters impacting on the tourism sector. I would encourage representatives of the car rental industry to contact my office directly in this regard.
