View answerThe Programme for Government - Our shared Future commits to the development of legislation to allow the first directly elected mayor in Limerick to be elected in 2021. My Department is working towards that objective, as a priority. Indeed, proposals will shortly be brought to Government seeking approval to draft legislation that will facilitate the holding of the first direct election for Mayor in Limerick.
