570. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth his views on an inaccuracy (details supplied) in the Mother and Baby Homes report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4402/21]
View answerI thank the Deputy for raising this matter with me. The Commission of Investigation into mother and baby homes was independent in the conduct of its investigation and the production of its reports. I had no role or influence in relation to the inquiries conducted in accordance with the legislative framework of the Commissions of Investigation Act 2004. I have sought advices on the matters raised and I will revert to the Deputy shortly.
