Budget 2021 provided a significant package of tax and fiscal measures to build the resilience of the economy and to help vulnerable but viable businesses across all sectors. A key measure in the Budget was the provision of funding for a €55 million business continuity scheme to support strategic tourism businesses to be administered by Fáilte Ireland. The scheme will contribute to the fixed costs of identified strategic tourism businesses that are not eligible for CRSS to support their survival. The first phase will be open for applications on 11 February and Fáilte Ireland will consider the need for further phases of funding as the scheme evolves.

I have referred the Deputy's question to Fáilte Ireland for further details on the scheme. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Order 51
