Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science if additional Exchequer expenditure was transferred into the national training fund in 2020 or 2021; if so, the details of such transfers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As part of the policy of investing in Higher and Further Education and Training through a reformed National Training Fund (NTF), the estimates for 2020 included the transfer of €28.2m of labour market-focused higher education provision from Exchequer funding to the NTF.

There were no such transfers in the 2021 estimates.
