Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for Transport if he has engaged a third-party company to date in 2021 to conduct online and or social media monitoring and or provide reports on social media coverage of his Department; if so, the cost of same; and the name of the social media platforms being monitored. My Department does not monitor social media in the manner described by the Deputy.

My Department provides public information about the Department’s policies and programmes through social media, which is managed by staff in the Department’s press office.
