1141. Deputy Michael McNamara asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of persons awaiting determination of their application for the jobseeker’s allowance in County Clare; the current wait time; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [40473/21]
View answerIn the week ending 25th July 2021, 11,624 Jobseeker claims were awaiting decision; 95 of these claims are associated with social welfare offices in County Clare. I am advised that it is only possible to provide processing times data on a national basis. The average time to award a Jobseeker's Allowance claim in June 2021 was one week, and the average time to award a Jobseeker's Benefit claim in June 2021 was also one week.
