Deputy Martin Browne asked the Minister for Health his views on the fact that the current wait time for orthodontic treatment when assessed is 72 months; his views on the impact this delay would have on the formation of young person’s oral cavity; the reasons for the delay; the efforts that are being made to address the delay; the average wait time in each of the past five years in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
