Deputy Cormac Devlin asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if he plans to participate himself or send a representative on behalf of his Department to engage with the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum currently under way that has been organised by the European Commission; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) attend the European Commission's fora as representatives of the Market Surveillance Authority for Ecodesign and Energy Labelling. The most recent consultation forum attended focussed on space and water heaters, and was held virtually in September of this year.
