Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage further to Parliamentary Question No. 270 of 23 November 2021, if his Department has received clarity from the European Commission regarding the water supply zones in Ireland that were identified as failing to comply with the requirements of the Drinking Water Directive 98/83/EC; and, if not, when he expects to receive such information. No further details have yet been received in relation to the specific water supply zones that are the subject of this referral. My Department expects to receive papers from the Commission in the coming months, but the timescale varies for each individual case.
