The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland administers the grant scheme to assist homeowners to install solar PV panels. The scheme was launched in July 2018. Solar PV is also funded under the Communities Energy Grant Scheme, which makes grant funding available to improve the energy efficiency of the building stock, and is open to domestic and non-domestic applications. Latest available figures show that in 2020, 137 domestic applicants received support for solar PV installations under this scheme.
