I propose to take Questions Nos. 349 to 417, inclusive, together.
Housing for All is the Government’s plan to increase the supply of housing to an average of 33,000 per year over the next decade. Over 300,000 new homes will be built by the end of 2030, including a projected 90,000 social homes, 36,000 affordable purchase homes and 18,000 cost rental homes.
The Plan is backed by historic levels of investment with in excess of €20bn through the Exchequer, the Land Development Agency and the Housing Finance Agency over the next 5 years. This will provide the sector with the stability and certainty it needs.
Housing for All is a whole-of-Government Plan, encompassing numerous policy areas across the four pathways to a sustainable housing system. My Department is working in close collaboration with all relevant Government Departments, State Agencies and other stakeholders, with a strong focus on implementation and delivery.
Good progress has been made since the plans publication in September 2021: of the 213 actions set out in Housing for All, a total of 123 have either been completed already or are being delivered on an ongoing basis.
As the Deputy may be aware, the Government has committed to publishing a Housing for All progress report each quarter throughout the lifetime of the plan. These detail the progress made on all Housing for All actions and policy objectives that have a delivery timeline relevant to the publication. Ongoing actions will be reported on in the Q2 and Q4 reports of each year to ensure continued focus and delivery of all actions.
The first of these progress reports, for Q3 2021, was published on 20 October 2021 and can be accessed at the following link: www.gov.ie/en/publication/44df1-housing-for-all-q3-2021-progress-report/.
The second progress report, for Q4 2021, was published on 26 January 2022 and can be accessed at the following link: www.gov.ie/en/publication/84e61-housing-for-all-q4-2021-progress-report/.
Future Housing for All quarterly progress reports will also be published on the dedicated Housing for All webpage which can be accessed at the following link: www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/dfc50-housing-for-all/.
